This week we hear from Pastor Melo Sauval as we continue our teaching series in the book of Genesis: In the Beginning. In this message from Genesis 2:1–25, we explore how God sets the foundation for human flourishing through three essential gifts—rest, responsibility, and relationship. We’re reminded that rest isn’t something we earn; it’s something we’re invited into. From the beginning, God models rest, gives purpose through work, and designs us for connection—not isolation. “Rest is not a reward for finishing your to-do list. It’s a rhythm that flows from the heart of God.” From Sabbath to stewardship to companionship, Genesis 2 shows us a God who provides not only creation—but meaning within it. ⸻ We hope that this resource complements being in a community with a local gospel-centered church when unable to attend in person.
